Who Am I?

I sat across from a woman I'll call "Amanda" a few weeks ago as she shared with me what her time of incarceration has been like.

"It's like everything you defined yourself by in the outside world is taken away from you, the alcohol, the drugs, the relationships, the clothes, the makeup, the house, anything used to define who you are. Then you come here and you are going through these programs and realizing those things don't define you anymore. But what I am really asking is: Who am I, then? How am I supposed to find this out? Who is supposed to tell me who I am?"

Amanda is asking the question I think we all ask: "Who am I and how do I figure that out?" Gratefully, we have a God who loves us dearly and continues to remind us of who we are through His Word.
