Faith of a Little Child

I have the privilege of driving a kindergartner home everyday from the after school program. He's become a friend. One who continually teaches me new things. He challenges me, he encourages me, and he loves me for who I am.

Taking him home one day we drove past an old abandoned school building. I asked him what he thought about that being our school next year. He got excited and said, "That would be awesome, Mr. Matt." I replied, "we need to ask God to give it to us".

Immediately from the backseat I heard his soft but bold words. This young child started praying on his own - “God please give us this building so we may go to school there next year. AMEN.” Then he told me with complete assurance “God told me He was going to give it to us."

I’m continually blown away by the faith of the children I'm around everyday. It reminds me of the verses in Mark 10:14-15. God is convincing me all the more the world is going to be changed by the children at Peace Prep.

Please join my friend and I in prayer for a school building next year for Peace Prep and the After School Program.

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."  - Mark 10:14-15
